Urban Decay De-slick setting spray review!

"Meet your most powerful oil-control ally, De-Slick mists on weightlessly to control oil, deflect surface shine and keep skin looking beautifully matte, High-tech ingredients help keep foundation, shadow and blush from smudging, sliding or fading- so you hardly ever need to touch up. Goodbye shine, hello vibrant, long-lasting makeup.
For someone who suffers from oily skin this product sounds like a gift from the gods! So after a lot of contemplating I jumped on the Mecca site and purchased the 30 ml bottle for $23aud!
Fast forward a few weeks and I've had plenty of time to test it out with multiple products. Here are the results;

Foundation: Garnier bb cream for combination skin.
Primer: NIL
Results: This was the first base I tried with the setting spray, unfortunately I didn’t see great results. Without pressed powder over the BB cream I became very oily within 4 hours. And with powder I could only just squeeze in 5! I don't blame the setting spray. I've been trying out the bb cream for weeks and have both been blown away and disappointed. (review here)

Foundation: Benefit Hello Flawless foundation.
Primer: Benefit Porefessional.
Results: I was expecting to see bad results with this combo because of how watery this foundation is. Surprisingly this foundation lasted just over 5 hours. I think the Porefessional also helped me see these results!

Foundation: Rimmel lasting finish foundation.
Primer: Becca resurfacing primer all over with Benefit porefessional on the T zone!
Results: I've loved this foundation for quite some time now, So it didn’t surprise me when it worked beautifully with this foundation. I wore this out to a dinner and movie and it lasted the whole time, I didn’t want to take it off! I was oil free for 7 whole hours! This foundation usually starts to separate around 5-6 hours and then becomes oily at the 6 hour mark. Was very excited to see it perform so well.

As for smell and packaging, I have nothing to complain about other then how easy it is to get dirty! Mine already has nasty foundation marks on it and they won't come off! Also, It does have an 'alcohol' smell to it but nothing over powering and you can't smell it on your face. The pump sprays out a very generous amount, I find three sprays is enough for me!

All up I'm very happy with this setting spray and will continue to use it until its all gone! Hopefully I can find another that can tackle these other foundations! I've had different results with each foundation so I do not have any before and after pictures.
This setting spray does work, BUT only if you use the appropriate foundations and primers with it! So if you're thinking about purchasing this definitely pair it with your favourite base products to see the best results! You know what works for your skin! You can find this product here on the Mecca site! The 30ml is $23aud and 120ml is $49aud
I can post before and after photos if requested!

Have you tried this setting spray? Did it work for you? I'm thinking about testing out the Skindinavia ones, since they did create the Urban Decay ones! x
